The Big Picture: Subtle greens for the exterior

Don’t be afraid of green – it can be a great, subtle color that is common in many historic palettes.  Greens that are almost grey or tan are usually the safest bet.  Choose contrasting trim and accent colors like creamy white and warm, reddish brown.  They will keep the house from blending in completely with the trees and lawn.
